Have you ever experienced that the GPS in your vehicle is not working? You can not find it on the google map. Here vehicle tracker manufacturer tells you how to fix it.
Are you reading this guide to check if the GPS is working in your car? No problem. Although the procedure to follow varies greatly depending on the make and model of sat nav you have, know that it is a very simple operation.
First of all, keep in mind that sat navs usually take 2 to 5 minutes to find the GPS signal. If, after waiting a few minutes, the navigator continues to search for a signal without success, there may actually be some problem with the sensor. This is also the case if an error message appears on the screen and the position indicator is gray or transparent.
If after a few minutes of powering up the navigator is able to find the GPS signal, no error message appears and the indicator is located at your actual location, this means that the GPS integrated in the device is working.
Note: If you have moved to a different location since you last used the Navigator and have driven hundreds or thousands of kilometers over long distances with the GPS turned off, it may take 45-50 minutes to find your GPS location when the device is turned on.
If this is due to a software problem and the GPS integrated in your smartphone/tablet or your car navigation system is not working properly, you may be able to fix it by restarting the device or updating the operating system.
However, if you suspect that the problem is hardware related, you should contact your device manufacturer and ask for assistance.
Since GPS failures can be due to system errors (i.e. errors in the operating system code), make sure you have updated your Android, iOS or your navigator software to the latest available software version.
Turn your smartphone off and on again (if you don't know how to do this, read the in-depth chapters explaining how to restart Android and how to restart iPhone) or your car navigator. When you turn it back on again, make sure your device is able to detect your GPS location.
This will restore the device to its factory default state, permanently erasing all data on the device (unless you have made a backup beforehand). It is used to resolve any software conflicts that may be the cause of GPS sensor failure. You can please refer to the instructions in its user manual.
If the previous instructions didn't solve the GPS problem, there might be some hardware failure. In this case, I suggest you contact your device manufacturer as soon as possible.
